IT Apprenticeship

As our new IT Apprentice, you will be responsible for: - Managing Smoothwall filters and performing password resets to ensure secure and efficient access for users - Creating and implementing group policies to streamline user management and system configurations - Safeguarding students by monitoring and enforcing e-safety protocols - Updating classroom software to support effective teaching and learning - Interpreting security policies, technical specifications, and network diagrams to maintain system integrity - Tracking Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and escalating issues as necessary - Maintaining an audit trail through email logs and the Aris ticketing system - Providing support via face-to-face interactions, phone, email, and Microsoft Teams - Utilizing tools such as Command Prompt, Ping, and Angry IP Scanner to troubleshoot network issues - Engaging with our comprehensive IT Service Management (ITSM) Helpdesk System to address and resolve technical problems - Gaining exposure to firewalls, switches, and routers, and updating hardware components like CPUs, RAM, and GPUs - Installing and configuring software, adding user accounts, and managing access permissions - Working with platforms including Office 365, Windows, Google Classroom, and Azure
