Requirements

Must:
- A strong level of proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python. - An understanding of the fundamentals of Ansible and how to apply it. - A strong understanding of containerization using Docker, Podman, or a similar container engine. - A good knowledge of coding best practices including code structure, peer review, and testing. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and either GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins. - Confidence in communicating with all stakeholders, including senior management. - Ability to work in a high-pressure environment. - A good grasp of network engineering fundamentals. - Understanding of HTTP/web APIs. Desired: - Strong understanding of IP/MPLS networks. - Strong proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines. - Knowledge of Ansible and experience building an Ansible repository for deployment. - Understanding of container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes). - Strong system administration skills across various operating systems with a focus on performance optimization, security, and automation. - Understanding of cloud computing and best practices.

Responsibilities

- Actively contribute to and drive the Professional Services automation strategy. - Own and contribute to the roadmap for the applications we manage, including EoSL planning, application lifecycle, compute requirements, and BCM planning. - Manage compute infrastructure hosts including patching and security vulnerability management. - Build network automation frameworks that allow for efficient testing, building, and deployment of new automated processes, including CI/CD pipelines. - Enact the Professional Services driverless change ambition, identifying potential use cases and driving towards success. - Contribute to the adoption of an SRE approach within the Professional Services team. - Participate as a technical lead on incidents and contribute to post-incident reviews and solutions. - Act as a subject matter expert for TSA guidelines, influencing working practices to remain compliant with industry standards. - Build effective working relationships internally and externally to deliver business outcomes. - Responsible for delivering complex network changes and assuring Fixed network platforms managed by Professional Services.
