Requirements

Must:
- A strong level of proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python. - An understanding of the fundamentals of Ansible and how to apply it. - A strong understanding of containerization using Docker, Podman, or a similar container engine. - A good knowledge of coding best practices including code structure, peer review, and testing. - A good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with either GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins. - Confidence and professionalism in communicating with all stakeholders, both locally and with members of the Senior Management Team. - Ability to work in a high-pressure environment. - A good grasp of network engineering fundamentals. - A good understanding of HTTP/web APIs. - Strong understanding of IP/MPLS networks (Desired). - Strong proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines (Desired). - Strong knowledge of Ansible, including building an Ansible repo for heavy lift deployment (Desired). - Strong understanding of container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) (Desired). - Strong system administration skills across various operating systems (Desired). - Strong understanding of cloud computing and best practices (Desired).

Responsibilities

- Actively contribute to and drive the Professional Services automation strategy. - Own and contribute to the roadmap for the APPIDs we manage, including EoSL planning, application lifecycle, compute requirements, and BCM planning. - Manage compute infrastructure hosts including patching and security vulnerability management. - Build network automation frameworks for efficient testing, building, and deployment of new automated processes, including CI/CD pipelines. - Enact the Professional Services driverless change ambition by identifying potential use cases and driving for success. - Contribute to the development of the Professional Services team in adopting an SRE approach. - Participate and be the technical lead on incidents within the immediate domain and contribute to post-incident reviews and solutions. - Act as a subject matter expert for TSA guidelines, influencing practices to ensure compliance with industry standards. - Build effective working relationships both internally and externally to deliver business outcomes. - Deliver complex network changes and provide assurance of Fixed network platforms managed by Professional Services.
