Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years’ experience in Networks Infrastructure IT, focusing on networking (IP networking, routing, switching, and firewall principles and protocols)
- 3 years of Kubernetes experience, including at least 1 year managing Kubernetes infrastructure with varied distributions
- Development experience with Terraform, Metal3, KAPI (ideally), Ansible, Python, and Golang
- Proficiency in Ubuntu Linux on virtual and physical servers
- Experience with on-prem Kubernetes distributions such as RKE2 or Openshift
- Familiarity with Metal3 and CAPI
- Knowledge of IP networking principles; experience with SDN, DPDK, and SR-IOV is a plus
- Security tools configuration skills (PKI, certificates, HashiCorp Vault, software supply chain security)
- Expertise in CI/CD integration, employing infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices, and implementing CI/CD pipelines
Nice to have:
- Experience with private cloud (particularly OpenStack) is desirable but not essential
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a Kubernetes managed service for telco functions within a secure private cloud environment
- Automate cluster deployment, scaling, and management using infrastructure as code (IaC) and container orchestration tools
- Collaborate with development teams on infrastructure deployment best practices, incorporating CI/CD pipelines and frameworks
- Provide documentation and incident escalation support to operations teams to facilitate excellent service management
- Build a comprehensive understanding of software spanning security, logging, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure
- Participate in the evaluation of new technologies through proof-of-concept projects related to Kubernetes, contributing to development into an in-life service
