Requirements

Must:
- Cloud Architecture/Design - Cloud Migration - Cloud Deployment - Software Development for Cloud - Agile Methodologies - Experience utilizing AWS cloud services, both compute and appropriate managed services. - Expertise in developing for cloud, with experience in iterative full-stack development in appropriate languages (e.g., node.js or Python). - Experience delivering Kubernetes or AWS EKS solutions. - Experience managing infrastructure-as-code, such as using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. - Experience managing or mentoring more junior colleagues. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins. - Experience automating specific management and maintenance activities in complex systems environments. - Familiarity with micro-service and container-based deployment strategies, and a zero trust authorization model. - Experience migrating on-prem solutions to AWS. - Experience with other cloud platforms, such as Azure and GCP.

Responsibilities

- Be hands-on in building and developing secure cloud-based solutions as part of an agile delivery team. - Lead the design of cloud solutions. - Work directly with customers to understand their requirements. - Collaborate with support teams to enable management and monitoring of cloud-based systems. - Provide third-line support to deployed cloud-based solutions. - Line manage several junior team members, assisting in their professional development. - Execute complex data analyses to make decisions on efficiency and cloud management tools. - Drive a risk-aware culture and ensure effective risk and compliance management practices. - Communicate with key stakeholders to influence the adoption of cloud-native systems. - Mentor other cloud engineers, helping to improve the team’s technical abilities.
