Requirements
Must:
We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong understanding of current AV technologies and systems is essential, along with experience in designing, installing, and maintaining AV equipment and standards. We also value strong problem-solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
As an AV Operations Technician/Standards Engineer at BNY, my primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of all audiovisual systems and equipment while creating and maintaining AV standards for the organization. This includes:
- Designing, developing, maintaining, and versioning AV standards for videoconferencing spaces for use by vendors and AV integrators.
- Implementing AV systems that meet our standards, considering room acoustics, lighting, and equipment compatibility.
- Installing and configuring AV equipment such as displays, speakers, microphones, cameras, and control systems.
- Troubleshooting and resolving AV system issues, including hardware and software problems, connectivity issues, and user errors.
- Conducting regular maintenance and room checks of video conferencing and AV spaces.
- Providing training and support to users for effective and efficient AV system usage.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and trends, recommending new solutions to maintain current AV standards.
- Collaborating with the AV Events Team and other IT Teams for seamless integration of AV systems.
- Managing AV system inventory, tracking equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and replacement needs.
