Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 1 year of software testing experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Well-organised, able to prioritise, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of the development lifecycle, particularly Waterfall methodology.
- Confident in test case design and SQL for data validation (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, SELECT, JOINs).
- Foundation Certificate in Software Testing (ISEB/ISTQB) (desirable).
- Experience in UK Financial Services, especially residential/commercial mortgages or other regulated industries (desirable).
- Familiarity with Jira/Confluence (desirable).
Responsibilities
- Review requirements, design, and technical specifications to ensure full test coverage.
- Plan, execute, and document testing for assigned projects using the Waterfall methodology.
- Perform SQL-based data interrogation to validate test data.
- Log and manage defects following the defect lifecycle.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing.
- Conduct system integration testing and peer reviews of test artefacts.
- Collaborate closely with developers and other stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in system testing processes.
- Present findings in Show and Tell sessions with stakeholders.
