Requirements
Must:
- Experience operating in a fast-paced environment, managing complex stakeholder networks and working to deadlines
- Expertise in managing technology procurement, particularly in outsourced services, project services, infrastructure, and hardware
- Experience in procurement and supply chain management, ideally MCIPS qualified or studying towards
- Experience in creating and managing procurement/sourcing plans in complex and/or technology environments
- Strong stakeholder/relationship management skills coupled with commercial acumen
- Excellent analytical abilities for evaluating supplier performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Responsibilities
- Lead the technology category management team in establishing and managing procurement plans
- Act as a key interface between sectors and the wider Technology Procurement Team
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to drive value through understanding technology roadmaps and business requirements
- Represent the IPS Technology Procurement team and capture emerging requirements
- Consult with key stakeholders on governance requirements to ensure compliance
- Triage technology demand as the entry point to the Technology Procurement team
- Support requirements definition and pipeline planning while sharing market and supplier intelligence
- Develop and maintain procurement plans to maximize value from suppliers
