Requirements
Must:
- An understanding of threat modelling frameworks and processes, such as STRIDE-LM and MITRE ATT&CK.
- An understanding of risk management frameworks, including NIST.
- Knowledge of security control (and maturity) frameworks such as NIST (e.g., CSMA, CSF) and ISO 27000 series, along with an understanding of the types and functions of security controls.
Responsibilities
- I maintain an in-depth understanding of both the external and internal security environments and how our organization reacts to security threats.
- I contribute to, plan, and deliver activities supporting our organizational and security development needs in line with regulatory requirements and changes in the threat landscape.
- I assess, validate, and report on current and potential cyber threats to ensure our organization maintains situational awareness.
- I identify security gaps and build attack simulations to support Purple Team engagements, illustrating potential attack patterns to prioritize future remediation efforts.
- As a subject matter expert on emerging threats, I work on complex issues as a fully contributory member of the Threat Modelling Team, with limited guidance from my Line Manager.
- I produce reports detailing key threats and risks to the organization at a strategic level for various business units.
