Requirements
Must:
- Experience in managing documentation systems, with a focus on accuracy, organization, and compliance.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and effective documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining productive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Background in a process-driven engineering environment such as automotive, civil aviation, or defense, with a solid understanding of structured workflows and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of Avionics Systems Governance databases, ensuring documentation is accurate, current, and aligned with local and national standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and process owners to identify and address gaps or inconsistencies in documentation, enhancing clarity and strengthening governance.
- Facilitate regular governance reviews within the department and in partnership with central Governance and Quality teams, supporting shared understanding and continuous improvement.
- Support and guide the department through documentation audits and local process confirmation activities, ensuring a consistent and confident approach.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying practical, effective ways to streamline and enhance local documentation management.

The Avionics Systems Capability & Governance Team consists of a small group of dedicated engineers with a strong work ethic, covering all aspects of Governance, Export Control, Security, Resourcing, and Business Support. We work closely with departmental engineering teams to ensure that all business is conducted in line with due processes and Export Control/Security protocols, engaging with stakeholders from the Royal Air Force and our European Partner Nations.
