Requirements
Must:
- Experience in leadership roles or responsibilities (delivery or technical) within a professional software, systems, or service team.
- Proven ability to champion Scrum and agile principles within a team.
- Knowledge of the software lifecycle and agile methodologies applicable to large projects.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring junior software developers, demonstrating exemplary behavior and identifying areas for improvement.
- Skilled in facilitating team meetings and drawing contributions from all team members.
- Familiarity with task and knowledge management tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and Trello.
- A mindset geared toward continuous process improvements.
- A passionate and fun approach to work!
It would be great if you also had experience in some of these, but if you don’t, we’ll help you with them:
- A Scrum certification such as PSM or CSM.
- A scaled agile framework certification such as SAFe or Scrum@Scale.
- Project management skills, including identifying and reporting on risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Service management experience, responding to incidents or outages, using problem-solving skills and coordinating with multiple teams.
- Change management, working with teams and end users to ensure feature deployments on live services are transparent and minimize risk.
- Experience with software development or design.
Responsibilities
As an Agile Coach for a Software Engineering team, you will:
- Collaborate with National Security Customers to build and run systems supporting their core mission capabilities.
- Work within empowered, autonomous DevOps teams, maintaining regular contact with end-users to understand, design, develop, deploy, and maintain applications and services.
- Take on ownership and responsibility within a small team while being supported by a larger Engineering community.
- Embrace DevOps ways of working, participating actively in the full delivery lifecycle, and adapting to new approaches.
- Identify the right behaviors, best practices, and development methodologies, and receive training as needed through resources such as Pluralsight.
