Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in Supplier Development and Continuous Improvement within a complex supply chain environment
- Considerable working knowledge of business improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma, alongside sound Project Management principles
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally
- Manufacturing experience within aerospace, defence and/or MOD programmes
- Auditor trained, with relevant experience in areas such as Supplier Quality Engineering
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Supplier Development activity across your area, driving continuous improvement and value creation
- Enhance supplier performance through best-practice methods, structured improvement programmes, and capability assessments
- Communicate performance, risks, and progress to cross-functional and external stakeholders
- Build strong collaborative supplier relationships and support wider Supply Chain Excellence initiatives
- Lead and support strategic supplier capability assessments, including gap analysis and the development of clear, actionable recommendations
- Provide technical and problem solving support to key suppliers, addressing complex issues to deliver robust and sustainable solutions
- Develop and deliver training to suppliers and internal teams to enable confident and effective delivery of improvement activities
- Act as a subject matter expert, supporting and mentoring colleagues across Supplier Development, Supplier Performance Management, Quality Assurance, and Continuous Improvement
- Produce high quality analysis, executive summaries, reports, and presentations using Supplier Development tools, trackers, and templates
