Requirements
Must:
- Degree level qualification in a relevant STEM subject (Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science) or equivalent industry/armed forces experience.
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes and best practices within the defence, maritime, or related industries.
- Proven delivery and experience working within project lifecycle management, with a broad understanding of the entire process (LCM, RIBA, NPI).
- Proven experience of leading a small team or managing senior/junior engineers.
- Knowledge of applicable engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- I will lead and provide dedicated embedded engineering support to projects, ensuring delivery while maintaining assurance, governance, and compliance to the BAE Lifecycle Management Framework (LCM).
- I will produce engineering documentation to support requirements capture, design, and maturation, from creation to validation.
- I will capture iterative design changes according to requirement scope, ensuring that revisions and configurations are controlled in line with company processes.
- I will deliver all documentation in a captured, configured, and controlled manner as per the company Lifecycle Framework (LCM or RIBA).
- I will lead and manage suppliers to aid in delivering compliant technical solutions that meet contractual requirements and regulations.
- I will provide technical input to LCM deliverables against milestones and gated/staged Design Reviews.
- I will liaise with both internal and external customers to ensure their requirements are adequately supported and that their needs are fully considered and incorporated where appropriate.
