Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM related field and 6+ years of relevant professional experience
- Extensive background in software development in C++
- Software development experience in a Linux environment
- Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
- DoD Secret or higher level clearance (active within the past two years)
- Preferred: Real-time embedded development
- Preferred: Working knowledge of military systems and designs
- Preferred: Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Preferred: Ability to develop, lead, and motivate technical teams
- Preferred: Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities
- Preferred: Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, code, and modify complex software designs for simple systems or subsystems of larger systems
- Evaluate complex software designs to identify design flaws
- Prepare design and project documentation in accordance with established processes
- Establish communication to keep management informed of the functions progress and results
- Use existing processes and evolve processes to utilize the most effective new techniques
- Provide top-level technical leadership for the assigned design discipline(s)
- Ensure effective communication among engineers, management, and all participants in the architecture and design process
- Collaborate with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers in project phases such as Project Planning, Requirements Development, Design, Development, Integration, and Testing
- Mentor team members and present technical design at technical interchange meetings with the customer
