Requirements
Must:
- Professional qualification in project management such as APM/Prince2 or other recognized qualifications.
- Strong experience in project management, project delivery, and portfolio management.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards, particularly when working with outsourced partners and under strict governance processes.
- Ability to coordinate colleagues, volunteers, and contracted parties through expert leadership, motivation, teamwork, supervision, and accountability.
- Experience managing external IT partners and suppliers, with the capability to manage partners, third parties, projects, and stakeholders.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Define, plan, and track the projects within your portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders from various business areas, including regulatory bodies, the external submarines community, and suppliers.
- Ensure that there’s a robust management framework for the successful delivery of the portfolio.
- Assure the success of the projects within your portfolio, ensuring adherence to schedule, cost, and quality targets.
- Foster and maintain meaningful relationships across the portfolio team, outsourced project teams, and with internal and external stakeholders throughout the delivery cycle.
Description
We offer a salary of around £59,000, depending on skills and experience, along with a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. By joining our IT Digital Workplace Infrastructure Services team, you will provide valuable project and portfolio management expertise, ensuring the successful delivery of key projects involving product, process, and system development. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to enhancing our project management framework and ensuring that current and future projects align with best practices in project management.
