We are looking for candidates with experience in many of the following areas:
- Applying FinOps principles to drive cloud efficiency and cost optimisation in large-scale environments.
- A deep understanding of AWS technologies, pricing models, and cost management tools.
- Advising on cloud architecture to embed cost efficiency and scalability.
- Developing and marketing FinOps offerings to customers, including creating compelling value propositions.
- Engaging with senior stakeholders to align cloud efficiency strategies with business objectives.
- Building business cases for cloud optimisation initiatives supported by robust data and analysis.
- Familiarity with government or regulated environments (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication skills to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
Security clearance is required for this role. If you are not currently security cleared, you must be eligible and willing to undergo the process.

Responsibilities
As a FinOps Specialist at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, I will play a critical role in advising a business unit of over 300 people on cloud-based capabilities. My responsibilities include:
- Influencing architectural decisions and advising on AWS cost optimisation strategies.
- Collaborating with product architects and engineering teams to ensure cost is considered in solutions from the start.
- Developing FinOps strategies and approaches to help customers optimise their cloud investments.
- Championing FinOps principles across internal teams and external stakeholders.
This position offers an opportunity to affect strategic and technical levels and help guide our customers as they migrate their capabilities to the cloud.
