Requirements
Must:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent, e.g., NVQ level 5)
- Ideally NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Membership of IEMA (preferred)
- Proficient in IT tools and proprietary software for data manipulation and management reporting
- Experienced in conducting management system audits with knowledge of ISO 45001 & 14001 standards
- Expertise in engaging and presenting to stakeholders at all levels, especially senior leadership
- Skilled in training staff across various levels
- Experienced with root cause analysis tools for accident and incident investigations
Responsibilities
- Strengthen the organisations safety culture and ensure compliance with ISO45001, ISO45003, ISO14001, and SMM standards
- Maintain management systems and support leadership engagement
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Manage high-quality reporting of accidents, incidents, and near misses
- Drive continuous improvement by developing risk-reduction strategies and new SHE tools
- Support the creation of employee safety training programs
- Contribute to long-term succession planning for the SHE function and wider business
