Requirements
Must:
- Previous experience working in the forces (Army, Navy, or Air Force).
- Previous experience creating clear and concise documentation.
- SC Cleared (or eligible for it).
- Any previous experience as a Technical Author would be favorable, but isn't essential.
Responsibilities
As a Technical Author, you will be responsible for creating and supplying all necessary technical documentation required to support our products, equipment, and systems. This includes, where necessary, assembly instructions, user manuals, operating procedures, and service and maintenance protocols. You will work in a closely knit team comprising other Technical Authors and Illustrators. Depending on the size of the projects, you may be assigned one large project or work on multiple smaller ones simultaneously. Travel to various sites may be required, with estimates suggesting around 5 days a month, though most trips can be completed in a single day.
