Requirements
Must:
- Strong VMware vSphere administration experience
- Experience with Windows Server infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
- Enterprise networking experience, ideally with HPE switching
- Firewall administration experience (ideally Palo Alto)
- Familiarity with backup and recovery platforms such as Veeam or Zerto
- Experience operating infrastructure in production environments
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments
- Administer Windows Server and Active Directory infrastructure
- Manage enterprise storage, backup and disaster recovery platforms
- Maintain and optimise HPE switching infrastructure and VLAN architecture
- Manage Palo Alto firewall environments and secure remote access
- Maintain monitoring, alerting and infrastructure documentation
- Support ITIL processes including incident, change and problem management
- Mentor and support a small team within the IT function
Description
We are a well-established international organisation based in Cannock, Staffordshire, looking to hire a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of our core infrastructure platforms, ensuring the environment remains secure, stable, and highly available. We offer a fully on-site working environment, standard hours from 08:30 to 17:00, and limited out-of-hours work. This is a great opportunity to join a stable global organisation and work closely with senior leadership.
