Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Lead Developer
- Strong knowledge of C# and modern .NET
- Familiarity with API-led services and SQL Server
- Experience in developing both backend and frontend applications
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, particularly with Vue.js (version 3)
- Understanding of event-driven and asynchronous systems, messaging patterns, and cloud-based infrastructure
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of security protocols like OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, JWT, and Enterprise SSO implementations
- Ability to mentor and guide junior developers
- Experience in technical discussions and decision making
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead for a distributed engineering team
- Write production code for both backend and frontend depending on project needs
- Review code to improve quality, testing, and consistency
- Lead technical discussions and daily decision making
- Mentor developers through code reviews and provide technical guidance
- Support customer-facing technical conversations as needed
- Collaborate with senior engineering leadership on delivery and architecture
- Define and implement best practices for AI-assisted development tools

We are hiring a Technical Lead / Lead Developer to strengthen our technical leadership within a growing engineering function. This hands-on technical leadership role allows you to remain close to the code while guiding engineering standards and supporting delivery at scale. The position is remote-first, with a competitive salary range of £85,000 - £95,000, and includes 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
