Requirements
Must:
- Strong Android development experience
- Solid Java experience
- Understanding of Android beyond basic UI development
- Comfortable working on a live, evolving product
- Exposure to backend APIs (desirable)
- Experience working with secure or hardware-integrated applications (desirable)
- Collaborative mindset with interest in contributing ideas (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Eligible for SC Clearance
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a Java-based Native Android application
- Focus primarily on Android development (approximately 80% of the role)
- Contribute to technical direction and architectural decisions
- Work closely with a backend engineering team
- Involved across the full development lifecycle including feature design, testing, and continuous improvement
