Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in leading data initiatives in smaller or mid-sized companies
- Proficiency in data engineering, modeling, analytics, and BI
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex datasets and translate insights into business strategies
- Excellent communication skills for influencing senior leaders and explaining technical concepts clearly
- Familiarity with tools such as Python, SQL, GCP, BigQuery, dbt, and Looker
- Experience in AI and understanding of how it can add value to business operations (preferred)
- Ownership mindset and ability to work autonomously
Responsibilities
- Own the data, analytics, and BI functions across the organization
- Analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful insights for the business
- Define and implement the data strategy, setting priorities for projects
- Shape the roadmap for future data capabilities and enhancements
- Challenge existing insight delivery methods and innovate where necessary
- Collaborate with the executive team to ensure actionable insights are communicated effectively
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI within business operations
- Oversee the hiring process for additional team members when necessary
