Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in a Documentation, Technical Author or SharePoint-focused role
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture
- Experience with SharePoint Online and/or 2016/2019
- SQL knowledge with the ability to query databases
- Excellent technical writing ability
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently within a structured, compliance-driven environment
- Desirable: Exposure to Linux or OpenVMS environments
- Desirable: Experience working within ISO-controlled environments
- Desirable: Ability to interpret application code such as C#, JavaScript or Delphi
Responsibilities
- Manage and publish structured technical documentation
- Maintain multiple version-controlled documentation repositories
- Release updates aligned with live and testing systems
- Document database structures, hardware configurations and system dependencies
- Produce clear management and troubleshooting guides
- Translate complex technical processes into plain English
- Design and maintain SharePoint Online and 2016/2019 solutions
- Customise SharePoint functionality to meet business requirements
- Ensure documentation aligns with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards
- Provide second-line technical support when required
Description
We are an established UK-based technology organisation that develops and supports complex, large-scale systems used in highly regulated operational environments. This full-time, permanent position offers a salary between £38,000 and £42,000, an annual bonus, and private healthcare. We provide long-term stability within our structured environment and high levels of autonomy and responsibility. This position is based in the North West of England, and applicants must have full right to work in the UK.
