Requirements
Must:
- Strong hands-on Data Science capability
- Experience deploying machine learning models into production
- Comfortable operating across data engineering and architecture discussions
- Experience in messy, multi-system, inconsistent data environments
- Architectural thinking, even if not formally titled Head of Architecture
- Experience leading and developing a small, high-impact team
- Proactive, commercially aware, and confident in setting technical direction
Responsibilities
- Lead the Data team of 5-6 across Data Science and Data Engineering
- Design and improve a scalable AWS data platform
- Create architectural coherence across siloed systems
- Lead end-to-end machine learning from feature engineering to production deployment
- Embed robust MLOps and model performance monitoring
- Improve ingestion, transformation, and production readiness of data
- Define and own a multi-year data and AI roadmap aligned to business growth

We are a scaling UK PropTech business where Machine Learning and AI sit at the core of our product and commercial strategy. We are hiring a hands-on Data Science Manager to lead our Data team while remaining technically involved. This role offers the opportunity to shape a modern, AI-driven data capability on AWS within a scaling SaaS business, with genuine ownership, leadership visibility, and significant equity potential. Our office is based in London, and we offer a hybrid working model with flexible arrangements.
