Requirements
Must:
- Strong background in data engineering or architecture with hands-on experience
- Good understanding of modern data patterns like lakehouse, medallion, and streaming
- Experience designing full data platforms and thinking beyond just individual components
- Comfortable working with stakeholders or clients, not just internally
- Practical mindset for making sensible trade-offs instead of over-engineering
Responsibilities
- Design platforms from data ingestion through to consumption, ensuring proper flow end-to-end
- Work with modern approaches such as lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- Build out both batch and streaming pipelines as per use cases
- Make decisions around storage, orchestration, governance, and security
- Communicate effectively with clients, translating business requirements into practical solutions
- Utilize expertise to choose the right tools across multiple cloud environments

We promote a balanced mix of technical work and client interaction, providing exposure to a range of tools and platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, and streaming technologies. We offer a competitive salary of £100,000, along with bonuses and a robust pension plan. Our work environment is hybrid, requiring 2 days a week in the office or at client sites in London.
