Requirements
Must:
- Strong Python skills
- Proficient in SQL
- Experience with distributed data processing
- Solid understanding of AWS cloud-based data engineering
- Familiarity with data lakes and data warehouses
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with ETL and ELT workflows using Apache Spark and AWS Glue
- Understanding of AWS services including S3, Redshift, EMR, Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch, and Step Functions
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, streaming technologies, or orchestration tools (helpful but not required)
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve AWS cloud-based data infrastructure
- Design scalable data pipelines
- Deliver reliable data to teams across the organization
- Develop and maintain ETL and ELT workflows
- Architect solutions utilizing a variety of AWS services
- Ensure data quality and troubleshoot pipeline issues
- Continuously seek improvements for performance and reliability
Description
We are a rapidly growing technology business based in Bristol, looking for a talented AWS Data Engineer to join our Data and AI team. Our work environment supports hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. We offer a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £70,000 along with 25 days of holiday, private healthcare, and opportunities for training. This role provides a great opportunity to work with the latest technologies in a dynamic team.
