Must:
- 2+ years experience as a Software Engineer
- Strong C# and .NET development experience
- Experience working with complex, long-lived codebases
- Confident troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Comfortable taking ownership of a critical internal system
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
- Desirable experience includes Windows deployment technologies, driver management, hardware ecosystems or experience within production or manufacturing environments
Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve a custom-built Windows deployment platform used on a live production line
- Handle dynamic driver injection, automated OEM software installation, Windows licence injection, PXE-based imaging
- Integrate with internal order management systems
- Work closely with internal development, production and operations teams to improve automation
- Increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention across the manufacturing process
- Directly influence production throughput and system reliability
Description
We are a leading UK-based technology manufacturer located in Wakefield, seeking a C#/.NET Software Engineer to take ownership of a mission-critical internal deployment system that powers our high-volume production environment. This is a hands-on role with genuine ownership and real-world impact, primarily onsite due to the nature of the production system, but we offer potential flexibility for 1 day per week working from home. Our salary range is £45,000 to £55,000.
