Requirements
Must:
- Strong operational expertise in VMware vCenter
- Advanced Linux administration skills including troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Windows Server administration and support experience
- Experience providing operational support for AWS cloud environments
- Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
- Familiarity with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong working knowledge of Infoblox and networking fundamentals
- Understanding of enterprise storage concepts and backup operations
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog and Grafana
- Ability to use Jira for incident and request tracking
- Effective documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex issues
Responsibilities
- Administer and support VMware vCenter environments
- Manage virtual machine lifecycle including provisioning, maintenance, migration, and decommissioning
- Perform OS rebuilds and bare metal provisioning using Rebar
- Maintain infrastructure stability, availability, and performance
- Administer advanced Linux and Windows Server systems
- Provide operational support for AWS cloud infrastructures
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and networking issues
- Monitor cloud resources and recommend improvements
- Maintain and troubleshoot infrastructure as code deployments
- Automate operational tasks and processes
- Support backup validation, restoration, and disaster recovery processes
- Respond to alerts and perform incident troubleshooting
Description
We are seeking an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our team and support enterprise infrastructure across various environments including on-premises, virtualized, and cloud. We offer a competitive salary of £130,000.00-£140,000.00 per year, with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
