Requirements

Must:
We are looking for candidates with advanced SQL skills and at least 2 years of practical experience. You should have a strong foundation in Python and/or other scripting languages that enable you to tackle diverse data challenges. Advanced Excel capabilities, including complex formulae and pivot tables, are essential. A basic understanding of HyperText Markup Language (HTML) is also needed. You must be able to engage effectively with key stakeholders, understanding and translating their needs into technical requirements. We value outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate clear and effective collaboration within and outside the team.

Responsibilities

As part of our dynamic Data Team, your responsibilities will include: - Process Automation: Contributing to the automation of daily business activities to streamline workflows for efficiency and effectiveness. - Data Analysis and Organization: Spending time with raw data to cleanse, structure, and prepare it for integration into our bespoke system, ensuring data quality and accessibility. - Solution Development: Utilizing your scripting and SQL expertise to create innovative data solutions that support and enhance our operations. - Ticket Management: Efficiently handling ticketed tasks, prioritizing and resolving issues to maintain smooth business operations. - Continuous Improvement: Proactively identifying and suggesting enhancements to our existing systems and processes, liaising with our in-house Development team to implement these improvements. - Innovation: Scouting for opportunities to implement time-saving measures across the company, playing a key role in their development and deployment.

Description


This role is a fixed-term contract for a maternity cover period of 6 months, which could potentially be extended. We offer a flexible hybrid working model, combining in-office collaboration with the convenience of remote work. However, it is important for candidates to be based in Dorset or its surrounding areas, as we value the synergy of face-to-face interactions.
