Requirements
Must:
- 7 years in backend or platform engineering
- Strong hands-on AWS experience (serverless preferred)
- Proven experience with distributed, event-driven systems
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs
- End-to-end ownership of systems (design, build, operate)
- Ability to lead technical design and influence architecture
- Experience mentoring engineers
- Strong communication across technical and non-technical teams
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience with HubSpot or CRM integrations (preferred)
- Ownership of internal integration platforms (preferred)
- Experience with high-volume event ingestion or real-time pipelines (preferred)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes) (preferred)
- Knowledge of observability tools (Datadog, OpenTelemetry) (preferred)

Responsibilities
- Take ownership of our integration platform connecting core internal systems with external partners and services
- Build production systems while shaping the future of our integration ecosystem
- Design APIs, process events, and scale integrations across the business
- Implement event-driven architecture using AWS technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridge
- Utilize Node.js, TypeScript, and Python for development
- Manage data and infrastructure using DynamoDB and RDS
- Use Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CDK, and CloudFormation
- Ensure system reliability through established reliability patterns
- Collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in their development
