Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform, or SRE-style roles
- Proficient in SQL and Python
- Hands-on experience with data observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Monte Carlo, Acceldata)
- Familiarity with data governance/quality platforms (e.g., Informatica, Collibra, Microsoft Purview)
- Experience within the Azure ecosystem (data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines) is a strong advantage
- Expertise in defining and managing data SLAs and SLOs
- Experience building automated data validation frameworks
- Knowledge of distributed data architectures
- Familiarity with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code is beneficial
- Proactive problem-solver with a collaborative mindset
Responsibilities
- Improve data quality and reduce incidents across the organization
- Build scalable observability for a modern enterprise data platform
- Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and trust for critical decision-making
- Take ownership of data reliability end-to-end
- Design and implement frameworks to monitor data health and detect anomalies
- Enforce data standards across complex data pipelines and platforms
- Work collaboratively with Data Engineering and Data Governance teams
- Shift from reactive issue resolution to a proactive, reliability-led approach
- Define and manage data SLAs and SLOs
- Implement automated validation and observability tooling
- Lead root cause analysis when issues occur
