Requirements

Must:
We are looking for a Platform Engineering Manager with a strong hands-on background in Java development and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). The ideal candidate will have a broad technical skillset that includes Java, Spring, MuleSoft, Kafka, and Oracle DB. You must be capable of leading platform stability efforts while also contributing directly to development. Experience in building scalable, resilient systems is critical, and knowledge of payment systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead a team of platform engineers in building and maintaining robust, high-performance systems. You will take ownership of platform stability, reliability, scalability, and performance. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with product teams, infrastructure, and DevOps to address platform issues and implement improvements. You will also architect and develop resilient backend systems, primarily using Java, Spring, Kafka, and Oracle. Best practices for observability, incident response, and operational excellence in line with SRE principles must be implemented. Driving automation and self-healing mechanisms across platform components will be part of your duties, along with providing technical leadership and hands-on coding as needed. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, conducting root cause analysis and driving long-term fixes.

Description

We value a candidate with experience in software development and platform engineering. Strong Java expertise, with a deep understanding of backend design patterns and frameworks (preferably Spring Boot), is essential. Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), including monitoring, alerting, and incident management, is necessary. You should have hands-on experience with Kafka, MuleSoft, and Oracle DB, alongside familiarity with performance tuning, system design, and distributed computing concepts. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (such as Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible) is a plus. Additionally, the ability to lead and mentor engineers while remaining hands-on, along with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, is essential for success in this role.
