Requirements
Must:
We seek candidates with a minimum of 5+ years of network security consulting, design, and delivery experience. You must possess strong presentation and written/verbal communication skills suitable for multiple organizational levels. Our ideal candidate will have technical expertise in many of the following areas:
- Firewalls: Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet
- Proxy Services: Bluecoat (forward/reverse proxy), Zscaler
- Load Balancers: F5 (LTM/GTM)
- IDP/IPS: FirePower/Sourcefire IPS/IDS, McAfee
- Identity & Access Management: Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass policy manager
- Routing & Switching: CCNP/CCNA level with good knowledge of SD-WAN deployments
- Key technologies: VRF, dynamic routing (EIGRP/BGP/OSPF), MPLS, DMVPN, GRE, IPSec VPN
- Remote Access VPN: GlobalProtect, Pulse Secure, Cisco AnyConnect
- Cloud deployments: Azure/AWS/GCP
- Multi-vendor, managed outsourcing environments, and experience working within operational environments following ITIL frameworks
- Excellent documentation, presentation, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to review and improve processes and procedures
- Experience in network & system security projects, including business requirements analysis and support for Solutions Architects, detailed infrastructure design, and migration of complex legacy infrastructures to new managed security services platforms
- Understanding and demonstrable experience working in an Agile environment, participating as an active member of a Scrum team
- Experience using Jira to define user stories, tasks, and associated estimates
Professional qualifications such as CCNA/CCNP (Enterprise/Security/Data Centre), CISSP or equivalent, Palo Alto (PCNSA/PCNSE), Checkpoint (CCSA/CCSE), and Fortinet (NSE) are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
As a Network Security Consultant, you will lead project delivery within our Professional Services consultancy team, primarily focusing on clients in the USA region. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining day-to-day records of project work to ensure accurate billing and reporting of consultancy time
- Building and nurturing an effective network of business contacts within Verizon and their partner community
- Continually enhancing your knowledge to stay fully relevant to our network security services practice and the needs of our clients
