- You have at least five years of experience in a software engineering role.
- You are an expert in TypeScript and React.
- You have strong experience with Node and design of REST APIs.
- You have experience working with AWS and serverless architecture, including Lambdas, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, and S3.
- You are fluent in SQL and NoSQL and able to create database schemas.
- You're comfortable with continuous integration and continuous delivery using GitLab pipelines.
- You take ownership and solve problems when you see them.
- You like to understand the big picture and the scope of the whole project rather than only the part you’re working on.
- You can understand and reason about complex problems and explain them in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders.
- You communicate fluently and precisely in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver new features in web applications, from collecting requirements to the finish line.
- Lead projects independently from concept to completion.
- Work with frontend and backend leads to architect and implement frontend logic and Node or serverless solutions using AWS services.
- Develop and maintain backend APIs.
- Communicate progress and solutions effectively, often in writing.

Description
We offer a focused working environment with up-to-date equipment. You will have 30 days of holiday (with 3 set aside for Christmas) plus bank holidays, and an extra day off for your birthday. We also provide Mental Health Recharge Days—two days each year to unwind. During summer, we finish at 3:30 PM every Friday from June to August. Our recruitment process includes a 30-minute call with a hiring manager, followed by a 90-minute technical interview featuring live coding, and a 60-minute interview with the Senior VP of Technology and the Product Owner. This position is full-time and permanent, with a salary range of £50,000.00 to £60,000.00 per year. The work location is hybrid remote, situated in London, SE1 0SW.
