Requirements
Must:
- Up-to-date experience with Microsoft operating systems and desktop applications
- Strong skills in the Microsoft 365 environment
- Experience in scripting and remote support (preferred)
- Excellent customer service experience
- Strong technical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Experience supporting and deploying laptops, iPads, and Chromebooks
- Minimum qualification at HNC level in an IT discipline
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, especially within a large Microsoft domain
Responsibilities
- Provide hardware and software support including first and second-line operational support
- Ensure timely and efficient resolution of service requests, issues, and incidents
- Travel to ICT supported sites across Argyll and Bute as needed
Description
We are Argyll and Bute Councils ICT Department seeking an Engineer within the ICT Desktop Team. This permanent full-time role consists of 35 hours per week, is fully office-based in Kilmory, Lochgilphead, and focuses on delivering excellent customer service.
