Requirements

Must:
- HND/HNC, NVQ4 or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field - 2 years relevant IT support experience providing 1st and 2nd Line / Systems Admin / Helpdesk / Desktop support role - Track record of providing support of PCs, laptops, printers etc for a large business application (e.g., Retail, Hospitality, Finance) in a complex organisation - Strong technical experience of IT Systems, hardware, software and networking principles with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues - Experience with retail software, understanding of its functionalities, and experience in setting it up (EPOS, Ecommerce, SAGE, CCTV and Audio systems, etc) - Proficient in Microsoft Operating systems, Windows 10, Windows 11, Server 2008-2019, Active Directory and Microsoft 365/Azure Solutions, SQL - Competency in Office 365 administration as a user and in admin setup - Understanding of networking (DNS / routing / VPN) - Experience with data backup systems - Familiarity with managing telephony systems, IP telephony, cloud-based systems, and mobile management - Ability to be hands-on, preparing for IT set up in store refits (e.g., wiring plugs, pulling through cables, putting up shelves, etc) - Excellent communication skills, providing step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal in everyday language - Strong planning and organizational skills with time management and prioritization abilities - Ability to meet deadlines and respond positively to pressure - Motivated, proactive, enthusiastic, and friendly disposition - Willing and able to travel including overnights and weekends to meet operational needs - Hold a current, full clean driving license and access to a vehicle - Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

- First point of contact, via email, telephone, and in person, providing high-quality 1st and 2nd line IT support to all users - Respond to and deal with tickets and phone calls raised to the helpdesk in a timely manner and provide efficient progression - Take ownership of IT issues and tasks and see them through to completion, or escalate more complex issues as required - Remotely connect and assist employees with IT-related queries, maintaining communication until resolved - Set up new user accounts and profiles, and resolve password issues - Prioritize and manage multiple open cases simultaneously - Install and configure IT hardware and software including PCs, printers, networking equipment, CCTV, and audio systems - Assist in the build and deployment of desktops and laptops - Ensure the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software, print services, and email provision - Provide secure access to the network for remote users - Test hardware and software releases and upgrades - Assist manager in implementing IT policies, procedures, documentation, and best practices - Exhibit flexibility to work out of hours and weekends to address IT emergencies and ensure continuity of IT service, including during peak periods and bank holidays - Assist the IT Manager with daily activities such as user/group administration, software/hardware installation, IT asset management, patch deployment, and desk relocations - Participate in the out-of-hours support rota as needed

We are excited to invite an experienced IT Support Administrator to join our Head Office Team. This full-time, permanent role at Argento Head Office in Belfast involves a balance of office-based work and travel to our various sites. The position offers a competitive salary of £32,000 per annum, with additional benefits including a company laptop and mobile, on-site parking, use of a company vehicle, a generous staff discount after probation, auto-enrolment pension, eye care vouchers, flu jab vouchers, and regular staff events.
