Requirements
Must:
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems support roles
- Experience setting up office IT infrastructure and workstation environments
- Experience supporting high-performance desktop or workstation hardware
- Experience supporting both Mac OS and Windows environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network connectivity
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of IT setup for a new office environment
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
- Preferred: Experience supporting engineering or aerospace teams
- Preferred: Experience deploying high-spec workstations used for design, simulation, or engineering workloads
- Preferred: Familiarity with networking equipment such as routers, switches, and VPN configuration
- Preferred: Experience working in fast-paced startup or technical environments
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT support requests within the Bristol office
- Set up and configure office IT infrastructure including networking equipment, workstations, and user access
- Deploy and support high-performance engineering workstations and hardware used by technical teams
- Install, configure, and maintain Mac and Windows systems, including Lenovo or similar hardware
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Assist with onboarding new employees including device setup, account provisioning, and application access
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and password resets
- Configure and maintain VPN access and remote connectivity
- Document infrastructure setups, support processes, and IT procedures
- Collaborate with global IT teams to ensure systems align with company security and operational standards
- Provide basic user guidance and support for internal tools and systems
Description
We are an advanced aerospace technology company located in Bristol, seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to enhance our offices IT infrastructure. In this hands-on role, you will have the opportunity to work independently and contribute to our dynamic team. We offer competitive pay of up to £40.00 per hour and a full-time position with an expected workload of 40 hours per week. This role will primarily be on-site, allowing you to be integral to our growing office environment.
