Solution Designer

As a Solution Designer, I will design, develop, and implement solutions to complex business problems. I will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, creating solutions that balance technology risks against business delivery. My responsibilities include: - Designing and developing solutions that can evolve and meet business requirements while aligning with modern software engineering practices and automated delivery tooling. - Identifying and implementing appropriate technologies and platforms. - Applying targeted design activities to maximize cloud capabilities, including elasticity, serverless, and containerization. - Creating best practice designs that incorporate security principles, such as defense in depth, to meet the bank’s resiliency expectations. - Balancing risks and controls to ensure delivery of agreed business and technology value. - Supporting operational teams in fault finding and addressing performance issues while leveraging available tooling. - Conducting impact assessments related to risk, capacity, and cost for solution designs, including project change and ongoing run cost estimations. - Developing the necessary architecture inputs required for compliance with the bank’s governance processes, including design artifacts for architecture, privacy, security, and records management.
