Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Ansible for database or infrastructure configuration management.
- Exposure to DevOps automation tools such as Git, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of modern reliability and incident response practices.
- Desirable: Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation and migration tasks.
- Familiarity with SRE principles and data-driven operational improvement.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust, scalable infrastructure solutions that support key applications and data systems.
- Monitor and optimize database and system performance, proactively identifying and resolving incidents or vulnerabilities.
- Automate operational processes using scripting and configuration management tools to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Implement and maintain secure configurations to protect infrastructure and data from cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver aligned, high-quality solutions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering organization.
Description
We are looking for a skilled MongoDB Engineer to join our growing infrastructure and reliability engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in building, automating, and maintaining critical data platforms that underpin large-scale, high-performance systems. If you enjoy working across infrastructure, automation, and database technologies—ensuring reliability, scalability, and security through modern engineering practices—this position is for you. We offer a salary of up to £60,000 plus a bonus, pension, and medical benefits. Youll have the flexibility of hybrid working, requiring just two days per week onsite in Greater Manchester. You will have the opportunity to work on complex, business-critical data platforms using modern tooling and automation while enjoying a collaborative and growth-focused engineering culture with genuine technical ownership.
