Requirements
Must:
- Strong understanding of security controls within Azure cloud environments
- Experience developing cloud-native applications using infrastructure-as-code best practices
- Expertise in securing containerized applications (Docker and Kubernetes)
- Proven experience securing APIs and web applications
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency with Git-based source control and modern programming languages (Java, Python, Go, JavaScript)
- Experience implementing automated compliance and security checks via Azure Policies
- Up-to-date knowledge of common security weaknesses and cloud security mitigations
- Ability to pragmatically introduce security controls without hindering development velocity
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities
- Strong autonomy and initiative in problem-solving
Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and maintain platform security processes and plans within established frameworks
- Design and manage automated security tooling that prevents security issues before they occur
- Perform security-focused code reviews and support threat modeling exercises
- Champion cloud security principles across product engineering teams
- Lead incident response for security risks and issues raised by SOC teams
- Manage the implementation of logging and SIEM integration for comprehensive monitoring
- Prioritize and oversee vulnerability remediation across the platform
- Support penetration testing activities and security audits
- Build strong relationships with central security teams and contribute to communities of practice
- Manage escalations of security-related issues, risks, and exceptions
- Coach and mentor team members on security best practices
- Work autonomously to identify and resolve security challenges across the business
