Requirements
Must:
- Experience as a Database Administrator, focusing on PostgreSQL and similar database technologies like Oracle or MS-SQL.
- A history of implementing and leading SRE practices in large organizations or complex teams.
- Hands-on experience with Containers and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevOps automation tools such as Git, JIRA, Ansible, and CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages for automation/migration (e.g., Powershell, Python, Bash).
- Experience with data migration tools and software.
- Proficiency in system configuration management tools for database server configuration (e.g., Chef or Ansible).

- Ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of systems and services through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning as a Database Administrator.
- Resolve, analyze, and respond to system outages and disruptions, implementing measures to prevent similar incidents.
- Develop tools and scripts to automate operational processes, reduce manual workload, improve efficiency, and enhance system resilience.
- Monitor and optimize system performance and resource usage, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate best practices into the software development cycle for reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
