Requirements
Must:
- Extensive hands-on experience designing and delivering AWS cloud solutions
- Proven leadership of large transformation programmes
- AWS Professional or Associate certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable cloud architectures
- Skilled in cost optimisation and cloud best practices
- Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics solutions, and AI/ML-driven architectures
- Experience with serverless, microservices, and containerised workloads
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Deep knowledge of IAM, encryption, compliance frameworks
- Ability to enforce security controls across cloud environments
- Knowledge of event-driven patterns, API design, and hybrid connectivity
- Expert in designing highly available, fault-tolerant and resilient systems
- Experience with observability, monitoring, disaster recovery and performance tuning
- Knowledge of cloud governance, cost allocation, account management, and auditing
- Desirable: AWS Specialty certifications (Security, Networking, Machine Learning)
- Desirable: Experience with Azure or Google Cloud

Responsibilities
- Define cloud strategy and governance models for enterprise AWS adoption
- Set cloud architecture standards aligned with complex business goals
- Drive innovation across data, AI, security, DevOps, and multi-cloud ecosystems
- Lead large-scale transformation programmes (data centre exit, legacy modernisation, cloud-native rebuilds)
- Ensure cloud solutions meet regulatory, security, and compliance frameworks
- Present cloud strategies to C-suite and steering boards
- Mentor architects, consultants, and managers to build technical capability within the team
- Act as a cloud evangelist, educating customers on cloud value and best practice
