Requirements
Must:
We require candidates to have a strong technical background, ideally as a developer, integrator, or architect. Experience working closely with customer stakeholders in delivery programmes is essential. You should be a proven advocate for automation, tooling, and efficient engineering practices. Additionally, a strong governance awareness is necessary, including the ability to find the right balance between control and agility. Flexibility is important, as you'll need to contribute across design, implementation, and governance. We also value strong interpersonal skills to effectively drive the adoption of best practices across teams. Please note that this role requires eligibility for DV (Developed Vetting) clearance. Candidates must be UK nationals and willing to work on-site full-time in Basingstoke.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will guide engineering across the full delivery lifecycle, from the initial idea to live deployment. You will enable automation-first delivery pipelines to enhance speed and reliability. Supporting multiple Scrum teams with governance, tooling, and standards will also be a key part of your responsibilities. As a critical member of the customer-facing Design Authority, you will play a significant role in driving a culture of engineering excellence and ensuring that we do things the right way.
Description
We are offering a competitive salary between £75,000 and £80,000, alongside a 15% annual bonus and a 10% DV clearance bonus. Additional benefits include a £6,000 car allowance, up to 10% matched pension, 26 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, private medical, dental, and critical illness cover, as well as mental health and well-being support, including virtual GP services.
