Requirements
Must:
- A relevant degree in computer science or a related equivalent qualification
- Extensive experience of data science related programming to develop and deploy data handling and visualisation applications (e.g., R, Shiny Apps, Dash, Streamlit, Tableau, Base44)
- Strong skills in data visualisation, including interactive visualisation packages
- Good understanding of SQL and ability to work with relational databases
- Experience deploying data science solutions using cloud platforms
- Experience creating detailed utility support documentation
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team
- Thorough understanding of data privacy
- Strong academic ability
Responsibilities
- Lead on the production of external and internal applications for AHWNI
- Develop data-driven solutions to facilitate animal health planning and infectious disease control
- Build web applications that include interactive dashboards, visualizations, and data exploration tools
- Co-design web-based solutions with AHWNI animal health experts
- Develop, manage, and maintain intuitive animal health dashboards
- Allow end users to interact with their data and provide analytical tools for disease tracking
- Fully document the design and implementation of interactive dashboards and visualizations
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders and provide timely solutions to issues
- Engage with AHWNI stakeholders and end users, including livestock farmers and veterinary practitioners

We are recognized nationally and internationally as the lead body in managing intervention strategies for infectious diseases.
