Requirements
Must:
- Experience in an IT support role (typically 2–3+ years)
- Solid experience supporting applications on Windows Server
- Hands-on SQL Server experience (querying, troubleshooting application/database issues)
- Exposure to the Microsoft stack, including Windows Server, Active Directory / Entra ID, and SSO / authentication concepts
- Logical understanding of how infrastructure, networking, and applications fit together
- Experience working with or around projects (e.g., assisting with migrations, upgrades, deployments)
- Experience with Sage, Primavera P6, Exchequer or similar line-of-business apps (nice to have)
- Exposure to Azure (IaaS / PaaS) application hosting (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain core business applications running on Windows Server and SQL Server
- Handle BAU incidents and requests escalated from the service desk
- Work closely with Infrastructure, Networking, and Modern Workplace teams to act as the glue between them
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Windows Server application hosting and SQL Server-backed applications
- Support Active Directory / Entra ID integration along with SSO and authentication
- Enhance line-of-business applications such as Sage, Primavera P6, and Exchequer
- Contribute to project work, including migrations of business critical services and upgrades
- Grow to own and lead projects over time
Description
We are looking for a Cloud Applications Support Analyst to join our Business Applications team, supporting a suite of business-critical applications running on Microsoft technologies. This role offers a great opportunity for someone with application support experience who is eager to become an expert and take on senior responsibilities as our team evolves. We offer a flexible hybrid working model, with one day per week in our office in Leicestershire, and a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £37,000 depending on experience.
