Requirements
Must:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven ERP and IT support experience across desktop, hardware, and O365 environments.
- ERP expertise (OrderWise ideal), including system administration, report development, and user training.
- Solid experience with SQL for custom reporting and ERP data handling.
- An understanding of API and EDI integrations, as well as cloud-based FTP setups.
- Experience leading IT projects and owning IT strategy in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include working closely with the Managing Director to define and execute our company's IT and ERP strategy. You will serve as the go-to person for all IT-related issues, supporting around 50 users across desktops, mobile devices, and infrastructure. Managing the ERP system (OrderWise) will be a key focus, which includes SQL report writing and making layout adjustments. You will lead all integrations (API and EDI), manage outsourced vendors, drive cybersecurity efforts, and plan and deliver projects such as cloud migration and mobile device rollouts.
Description
This role offers excellent scope for training and progression, backed by strong leadership and a dedicated budget for transformation. You will have the autonomy to lead IT strategy in a no-politics environment. With a real investment of £200K annually and a hands-on involvement with ERP, SQL, integration tools, and cloud platforms, you will be instrumental in exciting projects including customer portal development and infrastructure upgrades. This position is office-based, and you will contribute directly to the company's continued growth and innovation.
