Requirements
Must:
- I require at least 3 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support, ideally within a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Knowledge of networking, including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, M365, AWS is a plus).
- Experience with project work, migrations, and installations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
- A full UK driving licence is necessary for client site visits.
- Relevant industry certifications are desirable, and I will provide full support if you’re working towards them.
Responsibilities
- I will deliver 2nd/3rd-line support across a range of infrastructure technologies.
- I will serve as a technical escalation point for junior engineers.
- I am expected to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across networking, servers, storage, and cloud platforms.
- I may participate in or lead client-facing infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
- I will collaborate with internal teams and clients to design and implement tailored infrastructure solutions.
- I am responsible for maintaining detailed documentation of systems, processes, and support activities.
- I will stay up to date with industry best practices, tools, and emerging technologies.
