2128 IT & Software Developer jobs in the UK
Requirements
Must:
- I require a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer.
- You should have strong full-stack experience in Python (backend + ML) and React/TypeScript (frontend).
- Proven experience building and deploying ML models in production environments is essential.
- A deep understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) is necessary.
- Experience integrating large language models (LLMs) and designing AI agent systems or orchestration layers is a must.
- A strong understanding of data modeling, security, and privacy principles is important.
- Proficiency with DevOps tools and modern CI/CD workflows (Docker, GitHub Actions, etc.) is required.
- We value an entrepreneurial mindset, someone who thrives in chaos, works autonomously, and delivers outcomes.
Responsibilities
- I expect you to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered full-stack features using Python (backend, AI orchestration) and React/TypeScript (frontend).
- You will build, fine-tune, and integrate large language models (LLMs) via APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or LangChain-style frameworks).
- You will own the full ML lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Developing API-first architectures (REST/GraphQL) that enable seamless integration and scalability will be part of your role.
- You will build and maintain secure, privacy-by-design data models using PostgreSQL and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- I need you to implement robust DevOps practices with Docker, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborating directly with founders to define the technical roadmap, product strategy, and engineering culture is crucial.
- Balancing speed and rigor, you will be expected to ship quickly while building foundations for long-term scale.
Description
- It’s a unique opportunity to thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and balance technical depth with product clarity. - We are looking for individuals who care deeply about clarity, speed, and user experience, and who can comfortably wear multiple hats—ranging from data pipelines to design polish. - We value those who want to build the next wave of AI-native products rather than simply using them. - The position is full-time, with a pay range of £70,000.00 - £100,000.00 per year. - Although not mandatory, prior experience in an early-stage startup or in a founding-engineer capacity, contributions to open-source AI/ML projects, experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and an interest in product design and UX would be advantageous.
