Must:
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- A strong background in computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline, either through formal education or equivalent demonstrable hands-on experience.
- Proven experience in developing web applications, with proficiency in JavaScript.
- Practical experience in integrating third-party APIs, ideally including AI or language model services.
Desirable Experience:
- Exposure to AI/ML frameworks such as Python, Hugging Face, or Azure AI.
- Experience in modernizing or migrating legacy technology stacks.
- Familiarity with assessment platforms, ed-tech, or regulated software environments.
- Experience with test-driven or behavior-driven development methodologies.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer with a specialization in AI integration, you will play a crucial role in the continued advancement of our innovative, customer-facing AI solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Prototyping & Design: Translating high-level product ideas into functional AI prototypes that demonstrate core value and feasibility. Contributing to the architecture, data flows, and UI/UX design to ensure scalable and user-centered solutions. Collaborating with the product engineering team to develop validated prototypes into production-ready implementations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Presenting and demoing prototypes to Project Managers, Senior Developers, and Directors to gather feedback and drive iteration. Communicating technical decisions, constraints, and trade-offs in clear, accessible language for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Code Development & Review: Writing clean, maintainable code using JavaScript, Java, Swift, C#, HTML, CSS, ASP, and SQL as required. Integrating external AI services (e.g., OpenAI API) into prototypes and production features. Participating in code reviews and incorporating feedback to uphold high standards of code quality.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Developing and maintaining automated tests using our Test Harness to ensure functional and performance integrity. Ensuring all implementations meet security, accessibility, and performance standards before being merged into the product codebase.
