Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Experience managing, maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting large-scale hybrid environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems, Windows Active Directory and Entra ID, VMware/Hyper-V.
- A solid understanding of ITIL Service Operations, including Incident, Request, Problem, and Change.
- Excellent communication, writing, and meeting facilitation skills.
- Familiarity with PowerShell to accomplish tasks and generate reports.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Technical certifications such as Microsoft Windows Server, VMware vSphere, and Microsoft Azure Services.
- In-depth experience in a 3rd Line Support capacity, with demonstrable success in complex incident resolutions.
- Strong understanding of server infrastructure support within hybrid (multi-platform) environments.
- Skills in managing Microsoft Windows Server in a hybrid setup.
- Expertise in operational support for identity services like Authentication, Authorization, Access, and Federation.
- Proficient in Active Directory deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting, including Group Policy.
- Experience with Entra ID authentication services, access control, and application deployment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Networking Services such as DNS/DHCP.
- Experience managing Anti-Virus services and reporting.
Responsibilities
As a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer, I will provide both proactive and reactive support for estate management, including:
- Managing calls and incidents effectively to ensure SLA targets are met.
- Increasing the First Time Fix rate.
- Adhering to escalation procedures, assisting with technical escalations for team members.
- Monitoring the call queue and collaborating with specialist support teams for resolution.
- Utilizing the relevant ITSM tool suite to track the progress of all incidents.
- Ensuring accurate documentation and completion of all incident records and paperwork.
- Regularly monitoring and updating the call management system as required.
- Assisting with SLA reporting to ensure compliance.
